Growing up in Scotland you are sure to have heard of the Three craws, you know, the one greetin, the one with a broken jaw and the one who lost his voice. Well if you ever wondered what else the craws got up to in life then you’ll be delighted to find the work of Rita Bradd. The Dunbar Poet, Musician, Playwright and Author Rita Bradd has fashioned a series of plays based around the three craws.
From local theatre and local radio to Internationally appearances and Burns night commissions she has grown the adventures to be something that the whole family can enjoy. When we first met Rita she was busy planning to take her show to the Bayuex and perform alongside the Prestonpans tapestry which was on display. With nothing more than a good conversation and a sketch we designed the characters which became the logo for her work. The full story and original artwork story is featured on our blog about the three craws.
The image captures the key elements of the craws; The Saltire anchors the work in it’s most Scottish of origins, the 3 tartan bunnets showcase the more playful side of the characters.
The image can be exclusively purchased as a gift set featuring a bright vibrant 11oz mug and a coaster to match. The items are available for limited time:
